Frequently asked questions about sustainability

At the end of last year, SKAR started pilot projects to make all their buildings more sustainable. The main objective is to reduce dependence on the energy market and to keep energy costs under control. In addition, SKAR wants to offer tenants the opportunity to manage their own energy consumption. Together with the experienced design agency Superuse, smart and tailor-made sustainability solutions are explored. After several months of implementation, SKAR shared the first results of these projects on Friday 7 June, focusing on affordable and predictable energy solutions for artists, despite the unpredictable energy market.

Sebastian Haquin wins the Audience Favorite award

We are happy to announce that Sebastian Haquin has won the Audience Award at the Volkskrant Visual Art Prize!

Sebastian, who has his studio at SKAR, received more than a quarter of the more than two thousand votes cast for his realistic and alienating paintings.

Congratulations, Sebastian!

The Volkskrant Visual Art Prize is being organized for the fifteenth time. The exhibition with the five nominees can be seen until 23 June in the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.

HBS open day 27 June

Together with 19 other cultural organisations and makers, we have joined forces to develop the new cultural hub for Rotterdam, in the former HBS building on the 's-Gravendijkwal. We invite you to get to know this vibrant building and the various creative organizations. Whether you're interested in music, dance, or other forms of performing arts; Be surprised by the diversity.

Cultural tour
On Thursday 27 June, we will open our doors to the public again with an 'old school' HBS Open Day. Both at 17:00 and 19:00 a tour of about two hours starts, with exciting dance performances, new musical collaborations and special showcases. The HBS Café (with garden) is also open and our super chef Trubus provides a delicious soup.

Our office closed during holidays

Due to the holiday period, the SKAR office will be closed from Monday 22 July to Friday 16 August. Therefore, the following guidelines apply during this period:

Repair requests

It is still possible to make a report through the report management. This can be done by going to our website and logging in with your login code, or debtor number.

Unable to log in? Please send an e-mail to onderhoud@skar-ateliers.nl. Please note that reports will not be picked up until after the vacation period.

 

Calamities

Our technical supervisor can be reached throughout the vacation period only for dangerous and threatening situations, including outside office hours at 06-55196382. We ask that you call only if it is extremely urgent.
