GO West Visual and Urban arts Delfshaven

Next weekend, on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, it's time for GO West Visual and Urban Arts in Delfshaven. At no fewer than 40 locations, visitors can enjoy a wide range of art forms and get to know unique places, such as studios, cultural hotspots, artsy cafes and historic buildings. All this takes place in an area stretching from the neighborhoods of (historic) Delfshaven to Spangen and beyond. Many of the participating artists will be present themselves to explain their work. During the route, visitors can also be surprised by various performances.

Free to visit between 11 a.m.-5 p.m. (please note, opening hours may vary at times) The map with program and route is available at various neighborhood points, local restaurants and cultural institutions.

Friday, May 24 at 5 p.m. is the kick off at Cooking Studio Mix / Evermore/ Studio Cool.

Annual indexation

We would like to inform you about the annual rent adjustment. To keep the rent in line with inflation, we use the consumer price index, just as the municipality does. This adjustment takes place on July 1 each year.

This year, the rent price indexation is 3.1%. This means that your rent will be increased by this percentage starting July 1.

No stuff in the hallways

We still notice that many hallways are used as (temporary) storage areas, where items that do not fit in the studio are placed. This is problematic for two reasons: it poses a fire hazard and can block escape routes. Therefore, we want to reiterate that hallways and public spaces should not be used for storage. If you do not have enough space, you can rent storage space from us. It is the tenants' responsibility to keep the hallways and public areas clear. We assume that you can arrange this among yourselves, but we will pay attention to this. If we are unable to resolve this, we will be forced to remove the items ourselves. In that case, we will also charge the tenants for this. Please let us work together to prevent fire incidents.

Preservation

SKAR has started pilot projects to make all its buildings more sustainable since late last year. The main question here is, how can we become less dependent on the energy market, and thereby help keep prices lower? The second question is, how do we do that in a way that suits the tenants' needs - and that gives tenants as many opportunities as possible to manage their own energy consumption.

In this we are working with a design agency that has a lot of experience in sustainability and always puts the user first: Superuse. They are investigating how, by looking closely at how the studios are used, a combination of smart interventions and customization is possible, without paying the main price.

Now that we are several months underway, we want to share the first results with you. We'd like to do that centrally on Friday, June 7, at 3:30 p.m., at 52 Robert Fruin Street (sixth floor).

Following this, there will be an opening at 5 p.m. in HAL on the first floor. A number of Borger Street artists will exhibit their work there for a month.

Cancellation is not necessary. Please dolet us know via this LINK if you are coming so we can take the number of people into account.
