SKAR multi-year plan 2025 - 2029

We have created and submitted a new multi-year plan to the City of Rotterdam. We would like to share it with you. In this plan we tell you what our focus will be in the coming years. In outline that is:

• We are going to create more long-term studios, so that artists will also have a place to work in twenty and thirty years' time
• We are going to make studios more sustainable, to make energy costs grow less quickly
• We want to pay more attention to how to collaborate in premises

We are going to make another abridged version of our plan, with visuals. But for those interested, the plan is available for download below.

We have asked a number of tenants to comment on the plan. Now if you have read the plan yourself and would like to share your thoughts on it, please let us know, we are curious about that.

We'll go into a little more detail on different parts in upcoming newsletters.

Rotterdam Art Week 2025 - A New Phase

Last week, Yvonne de Jong and Sophie de Vos officially took over Rotterdam Art Week from Art Rotterdam. The news has been shared and discussions with partners and sponsors are in full swing. The energy is high and the organization is excited to take this iconic event to a new phase.

Rotterdam Art Week 2025 will take place from March 25 through March 30, 2025. The week will kick off with the opening of The New Current on Tuesday evening, March 25 - a must-see for art lovers!

Do you have ideas for Rotterdam Art Week 2025, or for future editions? Yvonne and Sophie would love to hear from you. They are open to new collaborations and are always interested in fresh ideas that further strengthen the art scene in Rotterdam.
