SKAR and Broedplaatsen Rotterdam B.V. cordially invite you to the opening weekend of De Wasserij. De Wasserij is a new fashion hub where innovative fashion professionals meet, collaborate and exchange knowledge. The building, a former industrial laundry in Rotterdam North, offers studio space to some fifty talents from the fashion industry who want to contribute to a better future through their practice.
During the opening weekend of 16 and 17 November, these talents will present themselves together with other fashion professionals to the public at the Getting Closer Fashion Festival. Expect a weekend full of open studios, workshops, films and talks. Have your favourite garment repaired or get to work yourself in our make lab and discover how much love, time and craftsmanship is involved in making clothes. Shop unique items in our pop-up street or go on tour in the city, looking for secret addresses for the most beautiful pieces.

De Wasserij is a project of Broedplaatsen Rotterdam B.V., a subsidiary of SKAR. De Wasserij originated on the initiative of SKAR, STIPO, Stad2 and Vanschagen Architects and is made possible in part by Stichting Droom en Daad, and with the support of Stichting ter Bevordering van Volkskracht, the Job Dura Fonds and the Municipality of Rotterdam.
