My studio is in the Ruilstraat 32, nice and quiet at the back of the building.
The property is an old school and the studio overlooks a small garden. Nowadays I paint there most of the time, using hot wax. Lovely and exciting to do. In the past (now I'm "very old") I also used all kinds of other techniques (installations, photography, drawing) and was a.o. a teacher at the KABK in The Hague. (See my website for more information and images).
In the meantime I think I can make a statement about my work that it is my answer to life, in which my Jewish origin has played a role in the choice of subjects.
Sometimes obvious, but also excursions to light-footedness. Tactility was always present, but not a starting point.
