Vera Harmsen
My studio is in the Hildegardisstraat 15 on the 1st floor, a beautiful light space where I make paintings as well as sculptures and assemblages.
In 2016 I celebrated 30 years of artistry with a number of exhibitions. In 1986 I completed the Academy in Rotterdam. Over the years I have had exhibitions in Museums and Galleries at home and abroad. Work has been purchased from companies, Caldic collection and publications have appeared in the press and exhibition catalogues.
I'm also 'world famous in Rotterdam', thanks to various participation projects and many painted Eneco houses. Large panels are executed in the studio, the murals on location. The interaction of man's experience in his environment is something that fascinates me in both autonomous work and commissioned work.
The various art projects I have organized also show a relationship between art and the environment. I want to involve the viewer because, just like a storyteller, art is able to connect reality and the world of fantasy.
Ad Timmermans
Born as a Rotterdammer, Ad Timmermans (1940) studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam (monumental art). He works both spatially and on a flat surface. Since the seventies his work has been exhibited at home and abroad. His work is part of collections of various museums, including Museum Boijmans van Beuningen Rotterdam, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Museum Princessehof Leeuwarden, Museum of Modern Art Pennsylvania (USA) and the Museum van Trondheim (Norway).
His work can also be seen in public space. In 2012 a bronze statue was unveiled for Barendrecht Station by Minister Eurlings on the occasion of the opening of the new station. On the estate "Het Buitenland" near gallery Bergarde (Municipality of Zwijndrecht) a number of statues of him can be seen.
In addition to his artistic practice, Ad Timmermans worked as a teacher (part-time) in visual education until 1998. (Rotterdam University) His studio (SKAR) is still located today. in Rotterdam North (see photo)

My work consists mainly of mono prints, black and white.
Previously I have etched a lot and the monoprints are reminiscent of that, they have the same atmosphere and structure as my etchings, at least that's what I try to approach. Besides this work I also try to photograph a lot!
Nina Valkhoff
